Description: A forb with tall, wandlike stems that may be sparsely branched above. Branches may have short white or brown hair. The spikes are white, cotton-like, and are somewhat pyramid-shaped. Snake cotton prefers sandy soil along woodland edges and in openings, usually forming colonies.
